I also tell you what animals you can expect to see in the area and what routes I recommend for game drives around Orpen, Tamboti and Maroela. Although game viewing around Orpen is fantastic, I do find the area to be a little bit too busy for my liking, with frequent traffic jams forming early in the morning on the H7 tar road. I'm also not a big fan of driving east into the sun first thing in the morning, which is a slight problem from Orpen. The three camps, however - Orpen, Tamboti and Maroela - are lovely to stay at and well worth a visit if you're planning a trip to the Kruger National Park!
