React Bootstrap & Get Bootstrap both have built-in grid systems. They are so important that they are listed outside of the normal components section because they should be used first before anything else (other than the container. There are two ways to use the grid. Either to get to 100% or to just fall way outside of 100%. Let me explain those two. The grid works with a 12 column system. So if you are setting up a template for your website, you might have the main column be {8} and the smaller column be {4}. 12/12 = 100%. If you have multiple objects you need to arrange into a grid, then you're surely going to go over 12. Instead think of multiples of 12 to arrange in a sorted grid. So {4} would result in 3 columns, or 4*3=12. -- Breakpoints -- When you use the columns inside of the a container, your grid can break at various breakpoints: xl, lg, md, sm, xs. By writing: lg={4} and then md={6} you would essentially start out at a 3-column grid and then break at the medium size to a 2-column grid. -- To Recap -- Every good design starts with a grid. So should your web design. Using the 12-columns that the React Bootstrap comes with is an excellent way to get started.
