Cheetahs are extremely friendly cats and they love very much interaction with humans. When they live in captivity, cheetahs are very happy to have contact with humans. But why keep cheetahs in captivity? Wouldn't they be happier in living free? I don't know how much happier they can be free. Being free means having to defend your cubs from much stronger predators, such as lions, leopards and hyenas. Free cheetahs means that only one cub out of ten reaches adulthood, all the others are killed before. For this reason, cheetahs are dangerously close to extinction. And it is thanks to centers like this one that perhaps the species will be saved from extinction. So a captive cheetah, if treated well, if it has room to run, a suitable feeding can be happier than a free one. He certainly lives safer and much longer.
