Straight Out of a Fairy Tale – Full Meteora Adventure
I spent the whole day exploring Meteora, and it was unreal. Went inside the monasteries, drove down some crazy gravel roads, and even found a tiny mountain village up above the cliffs. The views were honestly some of the most stunning I’ve ever seen. I originally planned to visit Santorini, but when that fell through, I ended up here—and I’m glad I did. Meteora is one of those places you have to see for yourself to really understand how incredible it is. These ancient monasteries sit on top of massive rock pillars, and the whole area has this surreal, almost otherworldly feel. The monasteries have been there since the 14th century, built by monks who wanted to escape the chaos of the world. Only six of the original 24 are still active today, and I was lucky enough to visit this holy place mostly alone. If you’re in Greece, Meteora is a must. Don’t skip it.
