Queer4Cars Fixing the Honda Ridgeline Tailgate to side open

We got a 2021 Honda Ridgeline in as a review vehicle, and one of the special features of the Ridgeline is the dual-action tailgate. It dropped down just fine, but it did not swing open like a car door, which it should have. Join us as we troubleshoot this issue and fix it using twist ties and rubber bands (it was a Saturday, and we were not going to the parts dept at our local Honda dealer for parts, so using what I had in my kitchen junk drawer, worked out just fine. If you find your tailgate not opening on a Ridgeline, I hope this helps you figure out what to do to fix it. Big thanks to Jake from ‪@GasGuzzlers‬ for his help in filming this video.
