CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Increasingly, you and your family are facing a risk on our roads from drugged drivers. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) and Ohio State Highway Patrol, there was a 9 percent increase in drugged driving crashes in 2016 over 2015. In the last four years, the number of crashes where drugs were involved has shot up 25 percent. Local 12’s investigative reporter Duane Pohlman crunched the numbers of drugged driving crashes in Ohio for 2016 and found the Tri-State is at the top of the list. And the data reveals some surprises, from the highways where drugged drivers crash most to what drugs were involved. You can search the data for yourself, from drugged driving crashes in each county to which drugs were found after the crash in toxicology reports.
