𝐁𝐔𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐍𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐅𝐋𝐀𝐆 In participation of National Flag Days (May 28-June 12, 2024), the Boy Scouts of the Philippines - Scout Valeriano Abello Community Scouting joined in the "𝐇𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐚 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐭: 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲" led by the Boy Scouts of the Philippines at the Independence Day Flag Pole, Rizal Park, Luneta, Manila. Six SCOVA Scouts took part and was assigned to hold torn Flags during the solemn ceremony. Under Section 19 of Implementing Rules and Regulations of Republic Act No.8491 or the Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines, a worn-out national flag should not be thrown away. it should be burned solemnly, ashes collected and buried. the national flag shall be replaced immediately when it begins to show signs of wear and tear.
