The Unbelievable Labyrinth of Hawara | TheGreatPyramidAIP    • The Unbelievable Labyrinth of Hawara ...   During AIP's #EgyptLeap2020 Expedition we camped in the desert in Fayoum to study the constellation of Orion without the distraction of urban lighting. The next morning we set out for the fabled site of the Labyrinth of Hawara, and examined the Hawara Pyramid. The accounts by Herodotus and other ancient commentators about the Labyrinth are truly unbelievable. Meaning most people don't believe them. But there has been archaeological evidence to believe the Labyrinth is still in the ground, and if excavated by an industrious, ambitious Archaeologist, they would likely become associated with a find equal to that of the Great Pyramid or King Tut! With the current Ministries of Antiquity and Tourism now joined in Egypt, this may just be the time to invest in such exploration, which could create interest that would bring the crowds to the beautiful Fayoum now reserved to Luxor and Giza.
