This surge is due to weddings and other events during these days, where families traditionally gift Roshomalai to relatives. Taking advantage of Matri Bhandar's esteemed reputation, many counterfeit shops mimicking its name have sprung along the Dhaka-Chattogram highway, stretching from Paduar Bazar to Daudkandi. The manager of Matri Bhandar asserts that these are all fake establishments. With over a century of tradition, Matri Bhandar continues to produce Roshomalai in Cumilla, maintaining its esteemed reputation among food enthusiasts.
