Steve Pavlick is a Principal at Mindset and is the head of Policy at Renaissance Macro. Before Renaissance Macro, Steve served as an Advisor and then Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury under Secretary Steven Mnuchin. There he led the Treasury Department’s engagement with the Senate and House of Representatives on the Department’s International Affairs portfolio, helping to secure the passage of the Trade Promotion Authority and the IMF quota reforms among other achievements. He also represented the Treasury Department before Congress on CFIUS, the Financial Stability Board, the Basel Committee, and export credits. Steve also led the Treasury Department’s congressional engagement on the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act of 2018 (FIRRMA). Prior to joining Treasury, Steve served as the Economic Portfolio Presidential Appointments Lead for the Presidential Transition Team for Donald J. Trump. In that role, he helped identify and vet senior officials to serve in key economic positions in the new administration.
