In this video, I break down how divide-and-conquer tactics are being used in modern South Africa, particularly through education policy and the BELA Act. Instead of fixing the 80% of dysfunctional schools, South Africans were pushed to fight over the 20% that actually work. This is not unique to South Africa. Similar systems have failed elsewhere, including zip-code schooling in the United States, where removing parental choice led to declines in literacy and numeracy. Yet the same model is now being pushed here — under the guise of equality. Race, class, and language are being weaponised: • Black against white • Rich against poor • Afrikaans speakers against English speakers • Private school parents against public school parents And while we fight each other, legislation like the BELA Act passes quietly in the background.
