福气马上来 （CNY 2026) | Ashleigh Qiann Choreography

This performance video is created for all my students from DF ACADEMY whom I have been guiding. They range from committing to me since year 2015 to students who are still on their first day of trial lesson in February 2026. The intention of this video is to spread joy of dancing no matter what level they are at and to experience the excitement of preparing for a performance… to enjoy the process. I always believe that the pure joy of dancing is universal and can be felt by everyone. I choreographed and directed this project spontaneously in just one or two lessons with each class. (Surprisingly, I was not aware that there was an official music video dance to this song as I just randomly selected it from Spotify on the same day I taught the steps to my students. :P) Grateful that I was able to create this from a blank canvas. I do enjoy when inspiration happens to me and I execute it with great enthusiasm, confidence and ease. Thankful for the trust of my students and the space to create at my best. I am proud of myself and my students for taking on and completing this spontaneous project. Here’s to encouraging everyone that sometimes, all we need is courage and confidence to listen to that optimistic voice in our mind and to believe that we can achieve everything we set our heart to.
