Returning to NYC After 17 Years… 🇺🇸🗽 | Travel Vlog

I hadn’t been to New York in about 17 years! I came here a lot as a child, so it felt amazing to explore the city again as an adult 🙌🏾🔥 My Itinerary Day 1: Woodbury Commons, Harriman Commons, and dinner at Lakay Buffet (a Haitian restaurant 🇭🇹). Day 2: Attended Christian Cultural Center (CCC) Church in Brooklyn, ate at Amy Ruth’s Soul Food in Harlem, and explored Harlem. Day 3: Breakfast at Sybil’s on Hillside Avenue (a Guyanese restaurant 🇬🇾), shopping on Jamaica Avenue in Queens, and a visit to Times Square. Day 4: Saw the DUMBO view, saw the Manhattan Bridge & walked Brooklyn Bridge, visited the World Trade Center, Wall Street, took the Staten Island Ferry to see the Statue of Liberty, explored Staten Island, and ended the day at Barclays Center for the Brooklyn Nets vs. Toronto Raptors game 🏀⛹🏽‍♂️. Day 5: Joe’s Pizza, Macy’s, Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, NBA Store, Rockefeller Center, 5th Ave, The Plaza Hotel, Central Park, Central Park Zoo, and the Met Museum. Day 6: Visited Liberty Ave (aka Little Guyana) and grabbed food at Triniciti Roti Shop. Day 7: Last-minute errands in Jamaica and Forest Hills, Queens before heading to the airport. My advice: Get up early if you want to hit the popular tourist spots or try viral food places — they get crowded fast!
