India’s Manufacturing Powerhouse Comes Alive at the Grand Inauguration of IMS 2025 Bengaluru, Karnataka: 6th November 2025, The Indian Manufacturing Show (IMS 2025) opened at BIEC in Bengaluru, Karnataka with a grand and spirited inauguration by the Chief Guest Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Minister of New and Renewable Energy, marking the beginning of a three-day showcase of India’s manufacturing might on the global stage. Jointly organised by the IMS Foundation under the aegis of Laghu Udyog Bharati and India Exposition Mart Ltd., this event has been powered by strong support from the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of MSME, Ministry of Steel & Heavy Industries, and the Government of Karnataka. This year’s edition reflects unprecedented scale with more than 450 exhibitors, including 220 MSMEs, State Pavilions, and a robust presence of Government and Defence PSUs. The ceremony brought together an exceptional lineup of dignitaries, including Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Hon’ble Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Labour and Employment, Government of India; Shri Tejasvi Surya, Member of Parliament-Bengaluru South, Lok Sabha; Shri Sunil Deodhar, Former BJP National Secretary; Shri Narayana Prasanna, President, Laghu Udyog Bharati-Karnataka; Shri HVS Krishna, Chairman-IMS Foundation, Past President-Laghu Udyog Bharati; Shri Rakesh Kumar, Chairman, India Expo Centre & Mart; Shri V Narayanan, Chairperson, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO); Dr. Samir V Kamat, Secretary DDR&D and Chairman, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO); Shri Baba Kalyani, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Forge Ltd.; Shri Arun Ramchandani, Senior Vice President & Head, L&T Precision Engineering and Systems; Mr. Roland Kristl, MD & Member of the Board, INTECO Melting and Casting Technologies GMBH, collectively underscoring India’s determined stride toward a stronger, self-reliant manufacturing future. Speaking at the inauguration, Chief Guest Shri Pralhad Joshi, Hon’ble Union Cabinet Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Minister of New and Renewable Energy, emphasized the strategic significance of the event, stating that “India’s manufacturing potential is entering a decisive decade where innovation, sustainability and value creation will shape our global standing, and platforms like IMS catalyse this transformation by connecting industry, policy and technology under one roof.” Adding to this vision, Sushri Shobha Karandlaje, Union Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Labour and Employment highlighted the central role of MSMEs, noting that “the strength of India’s manufacturing story lies in the entrepreneurial spirit of small and medium industries, and the government remains firmly committed to empowering them with opportunities, skilling and global access.” Shri Tejasvi Surya, Member of Parliament, Bengaluru South, expressed confidence in Bengaluru’s growing manufacturing capabilities, remarking that “the city is evolving beyond its identity as a technology capital and rising as a hub of advanced manufacturing, defence innovation and deep-tech engineering, all of which find powerful expression at IMS 2025.” Representing the host ecosystem, Shri Narayana Prasanna, President of Laghu Udyog Bharati–Karnataka observed that “IMS 2025 reflects the collective determination of Indian industries to collaborate, scale and compete globally, and Karnataka is proud to champion this momentum through its vibrant MSME base and innovation-led industrial framework.” The Bengaluru edition also hosts IMSCON 2025, a two-day international conference themed “Empowering India: The Future of Global Manufacturing”, featuring insights from industry icons including Baba Kalyani, Satyanarayan Nuwal and Shaurya Doval, adding rich strategic depth to an event that is already setting new benchmarks in Indian industrial advancement.
