On Saturday the 24th of August 2019, the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland ran their ''Marble City'' tour from Dublin Connolly - Kilkenny and back. The loco in charge was 85 'Merlin' with the RPSI Craven stock. 0:00 - 0:30, To kick start things off we head to Stacumny Bridge in county Kildare where we see 85 'Merlin' thundering past while heading West to Kildare. 0:30 - 1:55, Next we head to Aughaboura, Athy, Co. Kildare where we see 85 passing as it heads South towards Kilkenny. 1:55 - 2:32, Next we head to Wells Bridge in County Carlow where we see 85 'Merlin' passing with it's train, this was a very close call as I only bet the train by one minute! 2:32 - 3:29, Next we head to Leggetsrath West on the main ring road in Kilkenny city where we see 85 'Merlin' making it's final approach into Kilkenny. 3:29 - 4:48, Next we head to Lavistown North Junction. During the shunting procedure in Kilkenny, 85 'Merlin' was sent light engine to Lavistown Junction to be turned around on the triangle before heading back to Kilkenny to collect it's train. 4:48 -5:06, Next we head to Lavistown South Junction where we see 071 class loco number 080 passing as it makes it's way back to Sallypark Yard in Waterford. 5:06 - 5:58, Next we head to Phillip Street in Bagenalstown County Carlow where we see 85 'Merlin' passing as it slows down for Bagnelstown station while heading back to Dublin Connolly. 5:58 - 8:04, And finally to finish things off we see 071 class loco number 082 departing Dublin Connolly while transferring the empty Craven stock back to Inchicore. And shortly followed by 85 'Merlin' heading back to Connolly sheds. Please feel free to comment, like & subscribe.
