Actor Dileep’s Bail Plea Rejected By High Court - Part 2 | Mathrubhumi News

Kochi: The High Court on Monday rejected the bail plea of actor Dileep, who was arrested on charges of conspiracy in the actress attack case. The court observed that there is clear evidence to prove his role in the case. Terming the case as a rare one, the court noted the crime is of serious nature. While the prosecution stuck to its stand that Dileep is the kingpin behind incident, the defendant’s counsel argued that there is no evidence to prove the conspiracy charges. The Prosecution had submitted to the court that he will influence the witnesses if granted bail. The court also approved the scientific evidences presented by the Prosecution and also accepted its stance that there could be more accused in the case. The court also observed that the accused cannot be granted bail since the investigtion is underway. The actor has already served 10 days in jail. He moved the High Court after the Angamaly Judicial First Class Magistrate Court denied bail to him. As his remand period ends today, he will be produced before the Angamaly court. He will continue on remand.
