Universal Orlando Christmas Vlog 🎄 Macy’s Holiday Parade & Checking Into Riviera ✨

Welcome back to Episode 10 of our brand new vlog series ✨ Andy is officially back after a much-needed rest day, and today we’re heading back into Universal Orlando Resort together for one last festive park day before moving back to Disney! We start the morning by checking out of Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, a resort we absolutely loved and would happily stay at again. After a (slightly overpriced!) Starbucks, we hop on the water taxi to CityWalk and begin our day at Islands of Adventure 😍 First stop: the Christmas store, followed by a wander through Seuss Landing and our very first ride on The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride — the views of the park were incredible ✨ We also explore the All Hallows Eve Boutique, which is such a cool, well themed store 🎃 Lucy uses Express Pass to ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, skipping a 90-minute standby wait and getting on in just 12 minutes — such a huge time saver! While she rides, Andy watches the Triwizard Spirit Rally, which he really enjoyed 👏🏼 We hop aboard the Hogwarts Express over to Universal Studios Florida, grab Golden Gate fries from Richter Burger (very salty! 😅), and split up again — Andy watches the Blues Brothers Show while Lucy rides Revenge of the Mummy with Express. One of the best things about Universal is how many shows and entertainment options there are beyond just rides 🎭 Lunch is at the Minion Café (also super salty 😂), followed by the Wicked Store and the Christmas-themed Tribute Store, which looked incredible. We meet Beetlejuice, watch the Horror Make-Up Show (a firm favourite), and explore The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley, where we grab pasties and hot Butterbeer from The Hopping Pot 🪄✨ We secure an amazing viewing spot outside Revenge of the Mummy for the Macy’s Holiday Parade — the balloons are larger than life and absolutely magical to see up close. Such a special Christmas experience 🎄🎈 We end the night with CineSational: A Symphonic Spectacular, and I’m so glad Andy got to see it — he loved it! Dinner is at NBC Sports Grill & Brew, where Andy was very happy with all the NFL screens, before taking the water taxi back to Portofino to collect our cases. Finally, we head back to Disney and check into Disney’s Riviera Resort for the next three nights! We’re staying in a Deluxe Studio – Preferred View (Room 8554) booked through ‪@dvcrs‬ and the view is very special indeed 🥹🥰 It was so good to have Andy back! We had a brilliant day at Universal, even without riding loads of rides.
