4.5x Over Legal Limit: Sergeant's Drunk Girlfriend Runs Away With Baby Onboard!

On September 5th, 2023, officers responded to a call reporting a female driving erratically, almost smashing into his vehicle. The caller told dispatch the driver was in a black Mitsubishi Outlander SUV and was last seen veering between lanes. Officers utilized traffic cameras to locate the vehicle. Officers attempted to stop the driver as she hit a curb, stopping her vehicle. The responding officers learned the driver was the girlfriend of a Sergeant and handed the case to another agency due to a conflict of interest. Upon talking with the suspect, deputies detected a strong odor of alcohol from her and the vehicle. Deputies discovered a one-year-old baby in the vehicle. The suspect’s boyfriend took the baby from the vehicle and called the suspect’s mother to come and pick up her grandchild. Deputies asked the suspect to exit the vehicle; however, she continually refused. The suspect began displaying aggressive and uncooperative behavior toward the deputies as she resisted exiting the vehicle. Deputies removed the suspect from the vehicle and placed her under arrest as she continued resisting deputies. The suspect declined to perform Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs) but agreed to provide a breath sample. The suspect continued resisting deputies at the jail, kicking a deputy and using abusive language. The suspect later provided a breath sample that read 0.36 BAC (Blood Alcohol Content), 4.5 times over the legal limit of 0.08 BAC. The suspect was charged with Aggravated DWI, Abuse of a Child, 2 Counts of Battery upon a Peace Officer, 3 Counts of Resisting, Evading, or Obstructing an Officer, Reckless Driving, Open Container, and Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic. #police #bodycam #cops ~~~ ** Disclaimer: This video content is intended for educational and informational purposes only.
