The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows: Today’s weather across South Africa presents a mix of conditions. The eastern regions will experience cloudy skies with much colder temperatures, accompanied by scattered storms and showers. Meanwhile, the western areas are expected to warm up. The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued the following impact-based warnings: A Yellow Level 2 Warning: Severe thunderstorms are anticipated, which may result in localized damage to infrastructure, settlements (especially informal ones), property, vehicles, and livelihoods. There is also a risk of livestock being affected, along with localized flooding in susceptible roads, low-lying areas, and bridges. This warning applies to the western and central parts of the North West Province, the extreme northeastern areas of the Northern Cape, and the northwestern parts of the Free State. A Yellow Level 4 Warning: More severe thunderstorms are expected over the western parts of the North West, likely leading to significant flooding of roads, settlements, and low-lying areas. This could result in the closure of bridges and roads, as well as a potential loss of agricultural production.
