Spacing the Sacred. Nikolas Kompridis in Conversation with Valeria Fabretti and Paolo Costa

The meeting places scholar Nikolas Kompridis (University of Toronto) and two FBK-ISR researchers Valeria Fabretti and Paolo Costa in dialogue on the theme of the relationship between space and the dimension of the sacred. The meeting is part of the seminar series Nothing is Ever Lost, in memory of Italian sociologist Massimo Rosati. In an interdisciplinary dialogue, the seminar touches on aspects dear to Rosati’s thinking, such as the thresholds of sacred space and its distinction from the profane, the relationship between spatiality and the symbolic dimension, and the functions of sacred space with respect to the social and political order.
