L A V A Place: The topic I chose is one I've been pursuing for around 2 years - thus i thought i’d expand on it by creating it in 3D form; the main concept itself is based on: It's the only remaining sustainable source of power, having exploited all the rest. note: ignoring satellites that can be used to gather power, or Dyson spares and all other power types. And with pollution that blocks out the sun from increasing carbon emissions, around the city areas . Anyways, the only, well not only, but main source is geothermal power especially since there's been a new innovation allowing huge power output from heat. But the geothermal areas; locations like New Zealand, but covered mainly in lava and mainly more volcanoes (think back to how New Zealand would have looked back hundreds of years ago, but only for environment reference ), since the dark ages, when giant lizards (dragons/wyrm) once lived (legends say that there just dormant deep in the lava, but lava is still lava, thus even if they are, no one would know). These giant lizards have great knowledge of how to control lava to their advantage, allowing them, to create great nests, used as safe havens, protecting them against any intruders or volcanic debris.back to the present, descendants of humans, who left their homeland to learn the ways of the “old ones” (those giant lizards) now populate, and protect this sacred land of mystery and knowledge. These people have adapted to thrive in the geothermal ruins in there every days lives, to forge armor and research, to understand the old ones techniques, as the world is against them, as they need that power. Thus a great battle happens and so on and so on... but for this project, i just wanted to try recreate one of the lava cities, built within the ruins, so a city that's surrounded by lava with pointy rocks around in to stop intruders, and see how it looks.
