There are different types of sleep apnea, including Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Central Sleep Apnea, each with different risk factors and causes. All types of sleep apnea increase in prevalence as a patient gets older. Sleep apnea can often have particular symptoms including snoring, but often goes unnoticed and undiagnosed.
