The plot picks up where the first installment ended: the village gossip, Horáčková, runs out of her house to meet a group of young hockey players who have come to visit a good friend and teammate staying at a nearby cottage to train and relax for a few days. Horáčková immediately hatches a plan to invite her granddaughter and cleverly set her up to catch the attention of one of the athletes—perhaps this will be her big chance! Unable to contain herself, she boasts about her scheme to the other village grandmothers. The story further revolves around Horáčková’s revenge on Mayor Stehlík, who forced her to step down from her position as secretary at the local council. Meanwhile, a regional inspector arrives in the village, unaware of the chaos and challenges awaiting him, setting the stage for numerous comedic situations.
