Many patients will undergo surgery with radical prostatectomy and pelvic lymph node dissection as their definitive management for prostate cancer. In this talk, we discuss various aspects of post-prostatectomy radiation. In the modern era, most patients will get early salvage radiotherapy, although adjuvant RT may be indicated in patients with persistent detectable PSA after surgery or node positive disease. We discuss evidence for these practices and considerations for adding of hormonal therapy and pelvic nodal irradiation in this setting.
