Game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game System: NES Version: (US) This is the longplay of the game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game, a beat'n'up game initially released on the Arcade and soon after on home consoles between 1990 and 1991. This is the NES version, developed and distributed by Ultra Games and released in 1991 in the United States and Japan and in 1991 in Europe. Unlike the previous game released for the NES, this one is a beat'n'up. The story of the NES version of the game is the same as the Arcade version. The plot begins with a fire in the building where April, the Turtles' eternal companion and greatest human ally of the heroes, lives. From the top of a taller building, next to the burning building, is Splinter and the Turtles who, upon noticing the fire, head towards April's building with the aim of saving her. And the one who caused all this was none other than the Foot Clan, led by the Shredder, who kidnaps April. The four turtles will once again need to go after the villains to save April. In this game, we can control any of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Leondardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo. In each stage, we must face enemies and reach the boss at the end of each stage. Here, a dose of strategy is required, since it is not good to go around hitting like crazy, but rather to attack and move away for a few seconds to attack again. Here, we have the normal attack (pressing B quickly), the jump attacks (A+B slowly and the character rises high doing a flying kick and A+B quickly does a weapon strike followed by a short jump) and the strong attack (A+B at the same time, on the ground). The game is very straightforward, but, as I said before, it requires a bit of strategy to win here. The only item in the game is the pizza, which restores all of your health. To earn extra lives, you need to fight enemies and earn points. Another notable thing about this NES version is the amount of Pizza Hut advertisements in the stages. In fact, anyone who bought the game received a discount coupon to use at this restaurant, valid until December 31, 1991. The video was made in two playthroughs, with all the characters (the Arcade version allows you to play with everyone at the same time, while on consoles, it only allows a maximum of 2 players).
