Drug Abuse in Udaipur: Police Arrest Prime Suspect in Student Drug Abuse case. Drug Peddler Arrested. @UdaipurTimes had carried a news a couple of days back on the Udaipur Bar Associations Public Appeal on the same matter... In a major breakthrough on Tuesday, 12 September, the Udaipur police arrested a 24-yr old man for supplying drugs and blackmailing school students. The accused confessed that he used to extort money from them by forcibly recording the student's objectionable videos and then blackmailing them, said Udaipur SP Bhuwan Bhushan Yadav. The accused has been booked under Section 363 (Kidnapping) and Section 342 (wrongfully confines any person for the purpose of extorting money) of the IPC and Sections 5,6,13 and 14 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The accused, Gajendra Rathore is under interrogation at the time of publishing this news. SP Yadav said that the accused Gajendra Rathore alias Gajju Tailor is a resident of Sector 14, Hiran Magri, Udaipur. He used befriended school students through social media platforms and offer various favours to them like organising late night parties, night outs, providing iPhones, costly motorbikes and perfumes to the students to impress them and later make them addicted to drugs like Cannabis, Opium and e-Cigarettes. Sp further said during the investigation it has been found that the he had targeted more than 50 school students so far, all of them are studying in well known schools of the city. The accused Gajendra is involved in this crime for the last 7 years.
