Our guest for the second episode of this series, Ustad Bashir Ahmed Khan, is one of the most respected and experienced sitarists of Hyderabad. Ustad Bashir Ahmed Khan is a direct disciple of Ustad Vilayat Khan and Ustad Shahid Parvez. With a career spanning over 60 years (40 of which comprise of work with the All India Radio), he has heard them all - from the venerable virtuosos of the Nizam Era to the Beatles-esque bands of contemporary era. A benevolent, benign human being, Bashir sir is a musical star who has and continues to illuminate Hyderabad with his knowledge and indefatigable allegiance to the 'Singing Sitar' of the Imdadkhani Gharana.
