After a few months away, I’m back with video 011. This is a 4-player Free-For-All (FFA) on the map Open Warfare (Mega). This match featured some experienced players. Map Details - "Open Warfare (Mega)" This is a massive, open-field map that prioritizes ground mobility and expansion. Because the terrain is so open, players are vulnerable to attacks from multiple angles at all times. Resource management is the deciding factor here; while patches are plentiful at the start, they run thin quickly in a 4-way fight. Two massive bodies of water. These lakes are lethal if an Allied player manages to fill them with a navy. Player Roster micron_z (Red - Soviet) Nordburg (Orange - Soviet) TheGingerCommander92 (Teal - Allied) Ambassador Tomalak (Yellow - Soviet) The Battle Narrative In a lobby with this much experience, I decided not to rush a massive army. Instead, I focused on a long-term economic strategy. By carefully managing my starting position and expansion, I ensured I still had resources available late in the game when other patches began to run dry. Key Moments: Ambassador Tomalak was stuck in an unfortunate central position. Being squeezed between my expansion and Nordburg’s territory limited his resources and ultimately led to his defeat. Nordburg (a legend on many maps) eventually retired from the game. He found himself in a tough spot: low on resources and surrounded by my forces to the south and TheGingerCommander92’s Allied forces to the northeast. The final stage came down to a battle against TheGingerCommander92. While he had a strong naval presence and Cruisers in range of the shore, I used groups of tanks to pressure different flanks.
