During his tenure with the San Diego Police Department, Sean was assigned to SWAT for over twenty years. He worked with the narcotics, gangs, K-9 and the famous Border Team. His expertise is police use of force and SWAT tactics. Former Detective Benny Cruz worked for forty-two years in law enforcement. The majority of the forty two years he worked for San Diego Sheriff’s Department. He started his career with the Sheriff’s Department as a deputy assigned to the county jail. It was there he developed his expertise on street and prison gangs. Benny worked patrol in the high crime county areas where he developed his expertise with Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs, KKK and Skinheads. He subsequently promoted to Detective. As a detective, he investigated numerous high-profile cases. Benny’s expertise is investigations. Former Calexico Chief of Police Gonzalo Chalo Gerardo has over thirty years of combined law enforcement experience. Chalo worked and coordinated numerous high level narcotic, gang and law enforcement corruption cases. His expertise was in developing community support and relationships by building bridges between the community and law enforcement agencies. He also developed and expertise in working with Mexican law enforcement and US law enforcement as a liaison. He investigated and solved numerous bi-national cases. Chalo is not only an honorary retired chief of police. He is a man whom is respected by many men and women whom served under his leadership. Former Detective Sergeant David Contreras has thirty-two years of combined law enforcement experience. He began his law enforcement career with the California Department of Corrections where he specialized in street and prison gangs. David transferred to the San Diego Police Department in 1988. During his tenure with SDPD, David worked patrol in Logan Heights for five years, community relations, gangs, narcotics, internal affair, Special Assistant to two Chiefs of Police and Criminal Intelligence assigned to Mexico. David’s expertise is in prison gangs, street gangs, narcotics, community relations and policing and Mexico past and present criminal and political trends.
