SLIK USA Customer Service Specialist, Glenn Nash, guides you through the process of replacing the leg stopper and leg guide on a Professional Series tripod. To purchase parts for this or any SLIK tripod please contact customer service at support@slikusa.com Written Instructions: Start with the uppermost leg section (Part #3/4-6049-98-5) 1 – Unscrew leg lock ring/grip (part #3/4-6052-52-8) completely. It will slide down the leg when it is completely loose. Remove lower leg sections. 2 – Attached to lower leg will be the Leg Stoppers (part #3/4-6056-51-5) and the Guide Sleeve (part #3/4-6045-51-2). Remove broken parts and replace. The thickest end of the guide sleeve will be closer to the lower legs. Be sure the grooves on the leg stoppers and guide sleeve lines up with the groove on the legs. 3 – Re-insert the lower legs, aligning the grooves on the rear of the legs. Slide legs completely in. 4 – Screw leg lock ring/grip completely onto upper leg section. 5 – Enjoy your rebuilt tripod!
