BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, our TEST: the ultimate globe-trotter?

We followed the presentation in Garmisch, we told you about it and we configured it and finally, just before the harsh winter, the time has come to ride it for a first contact on the Andalusian roads and tracks. But when you find yourself in front of the new BMW R1300 GS Adventure you can feel a certain awe. Due to its past glory and its current sophistication, but also and above all due to its monumental dimensions. The GSA is imposing, like a sculpture and it is today more than ever. The design plays a key role more than in the past with the massive volumes in the front area due to the thirty-liter aluminum tank. The lines are horizontal and vertical and excluding the beak there is no diagonal reference to the goddess of speed. Everything is solidity and power. Perhaps for this reason, personally, I do not find a great harmony between the beak-LED headlight area shared with the "standard" GS and the stylistic novelty of the Adventure tank. Not that it matters much. The new Adventure doesn't seem to be made to please at all (and I like that!), but to follow its function: to be the ultimate globetrotter. And I'm pretty sure that this design will make history.
