A winter walk through downtown Winnipeg on New Years Eve, 2020. Crossing bridges, though upper Fort Garry, to Bagelsmith, around to Assiniboine and back over bridges. Started at Lyndale dr and St Mary’s road, crossing both bridges to Main Street. Looped through Upper Fort Garry and then west on Broadway. Passed by The Fort Garry Hotel, fingers crossed at Oh Doughnuts (closed!), North on Carlton to Bagelsmith (OPEN!), through Mottola Grocery and Hargrave Street Market (swoon), and back south on Edmonton to Assiniboine. All along Assiniboine to Main Street and back over the bridges to end. If anyone knows anything about the house that sits behind the Thom Bargen location on Graham, DO TELL! Super intrigued. Places we walked past: Upper Fort Garry, Union Station, Fort Garry Hotel, The Fyxx, Oh Doughnuts, Nick’s, East India Company, Bagelsmith, Mottola Grocery, Yard Burger, Rose Bar, Miss Browns, Gusto North, Saburo Kitchen, Thom Bargen, Fools and Horses, Bonnycastle Dog Park, Fete Cafe and more! A balmy minus 11 Celsius, light wind, 1:30 pm. Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
