Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel. In today's video tutorial, you'll learn how to make a knitting machine sweater! We'll be making a lightweight cotton sweater using a circular knitting machine: this knitting machine jumper is perfect for spring or layering in cooler weather. You can also use wool or other warmer fibers for a fall/winter option. This is my first Addi knitting machine tutorial so I'm gonna go through some simple explanation about the machine, as well as some tips and tricks for good tension and smooth working. If you use a Sentro, you can follow the specific instructions I provided in the video. You can use the time stamps below to jump ahead or back. 00:00 Intro 00:47 Supplies Needed 02:01 Final Measurements 03:15 Knitting Machine Anatomy 04:45 Tips to Work on a Knitting Machine 05:48 Body Panels 15:07 Crochet Edge 21:05 Shoulder Seam 23:15 Sleeves 26:51 Crochet Edge 31:08 Attaching the Sleeves & Seaming the Sides 34:37 Outro Level: This tutorial is beginner-friendly but you need to know the basics of crocheting such as how to make a single crochet and weave in the ends. Supplies: An Addi or Sentro circular knitting machine Lightweight yarn I've used around 2 and a half skeins (312 meters / 573 yards / 250 grams) of Frutta from Hobbii in colorway 03. It’s a degradé 100% Turkish cotton, and I highly recommend it! It’s so soft and smooth, almost silky, and my knitting machine loves it! Have a look at all the amazing colour shades available by clicking this link: https://hobbii.it/frutta?utm_medium=p... Scrap yarn: I'd recommend 4 pieces of scrap yarn of different colours, measuring around 10 yards each to be able to cast on and off 4/5 rows. Choose colours that are different from your main yarn. At some point in my life, I got itchy feet and decided to explore the world: I have been working and traveling in different countries for the past 7 years, mostly in Spain, Australia, and Southeast Asia. Crochet has become my medium for creative self-expression, how I manifest my ideas, imagination, beliefs, and values. In late 2019, I started designing one-of-a-kind crochet patterns and selling my crochet pieces. Since then, I've become a crochet teacher, started a YouTube channel, and collaborated with yarn brands and crochet magazines. I'm grateful for this wonderful crochet community and always in awe of the creativity and talent of other makers!
