Kyle Bevan, 33, was found dead in his cell in HMP Wakefield on Wednesday morning. He was two and a half years into a minimum sentence of 28 years for murdering his partner’s two-year-old daughter, Lola James, in the family home in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, in 2020. Wakefield is a category A prison, one of 10 in the UK with the highest security in place. West Yorkshire police said they were called to the prison at 8.25am on Wednesday after receiving reports that a man had been found dead in his cell.
