Barnes and Noble does have a marketplace, but I did not purchase my book from any Marketplace reseller - my purchase from B&N came FROM their warehouse, as is demonstrated by my order. Even if I had bought it from a reseller, it would still be copyright violation because I still was NOT paid for the sale of this book. The only books I give out or sell on my own are all personalized and stamped with my special little stamp. The one you can buy from Amazon.com, for instance, is listed as moderately damaged from a reseller who got a personalized and stamped version. These that B&N are selling are NEW 100%, and I have not received payment for them. Fact: Fraud and Copyright Violations are taking place. The Hard Cover is "being listed as" on the marketplace, but when you try to order it, you're given an error message - which means it's still in the system but unavailable. It goes out of availability for a few days, then it goes back into availability, which is why I only bought 2 copies at once this time around. When it's available again I will buy another copy or so. My order for my lawyers has gone through. I do not want to post their address. It boils down to this: No matter how many copies I ordered, whether they stop at 3 or if I can order up to 20 - they violated my copyright, they committed sales fraud, and regardless of who is responsible - Barnes & Noble, Ingram distribution or LSI - I am justifiably upset, and they need to be investigated and prosecuted.
