The event honored Dr. Symeon Symeonides, with the Life Achievement Award and Peter Kakogiannis with the Community Service Award. In attendance among other dignitaries and officials were the President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades who was the Guest Speaker and Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias. The report includes interviews with the two honorees, with the Executive VP of the Federation Nicos Paphitis and with Antonis Diamataris, Deputy Minister for Expatriate Greeks, as well as highlights of remarks by the organizers, Archbishop of America, Mr. Elpidophoros, Philip Christopher, President of PSEKA, Greek FM Dendias, as well as the remarks of President Anastasiades on the Cyprus problem.
