Named after the Jesuit priests who founded the vineyard in 1595, Fajã dos Padres is a a working organic farm and a small secluded tourist resort offering a restaurant, wonderful swimming & fishing facilities and amazing sea & mountain views. People can stretch the stay in paradise a little bit longer by staying over in one of nine carefully restored cottages, with vine-shaded patios and windows offering sunset views. Apart from the wine culture, this area also has excellent weather conditions for the cultivation of papaya, mango, avocado, banana and other exotic fruit, such as passion fruit, Suriname cherry and guava.
