Perito Moreno Glacier at Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. After a late night arriving in El Calafate I decide to begin my only day in town by hitchhiking towards the glacier that El Calafate is known for. I find a ride quickly and I am lucky to be able to spend the day with my new friends. They take me into the National Park and we make all the common stops to see the glacier from different views. We then split up while in the "trails" around the glacier and we enjoy the views for a little over an hour before returning to El Calafate. I spend my evening packing and preparing for an early bus towards El Chaltén where I will spend at least a month. Once I arrive I check into my hostel and explore the town a bit while I search for dinner. The next day is all about preparations for the first set of trails I want to hit while in town. I get my groceries, pack my bag, and figure out my weather for the week before heading out into the mountains for my first visit to see Fitz Roy!
