A lonely metal An-2 aircraft in the endless white wilderness of Yakutia. Inside, a 90-year-old woman cooks soup by the stove. Suddenly her dogs start barking. She opens the heavy plane door... and freezes. In the empty snow, just meters from the fuselage, stand a mother bear and two small cubs. The wind carries snow. The animals don't move. They just watch. The woman slowly steps out of the aircraft. Temperature –71°C. Her breath turns into white fog. The dogs are tense but don't attack. The bear mother doesn't leave. Doesn't run. She waits. The woman returns inside the plane and brings out frozen meat. She places it on the snow between herself and the bear. Steps back toward the aircraft. The mother bear approaches. Takes the meat. Looks at the woman one more time. Turns and walks with her cubs into the white wilderness. The woman stands by the door of her old plane home and watches them until they disappear into the snow. Silence.
