Actually Basanti Pulao is a kind of sweet rice recipe. It is authentic Bengali recipe, basically Bengalis are prepare the recipe in Puja purpose as a Bhog. I cooked Gobindo Bhog rice with dry fruits, clarified butter and sugar. Very delicious and tempting recipe. How to prepare Bengali Basanti Pulao Recipe | Sweet Yellow Rice Recipe INGREDIENTS: Jeera Samba Rice(Gobindo Bhog Rice) - 1 and 1/2 cup, socked for 1 hour, Clarified butter - 2 tbsp, Garam masala powder - 2 tsp, Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp, Ginger - 1 tbsp, finely grated, Salt to taste, Sugar - 1/4 cup, Raisins - 1/4 cup, Cashew nuts - 1/4 cup, Bay leaves - 2 pieces, Cardamom - 4, Cloves - 5, Oil - 3 tbsp, Hot water - 3 cups, Rose water - 1 tbsp, METHOD: Marinate the rice with Clarified butter, Garam masala powder, Turmeric powder, Ginger and Salt for 30 mins. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the cashew nuts when it become light brown put raisin, cardamom and cloves, stir it for few seconds. Add the marinated rice in the pan, cook it for 2 mins. Add hot water into the rice, keep the lid off and cook it for 10 mins in medium flame. Open the lid add sugar and rose water, stir it and again cook it for 5 mins in low flame. It is ready to serve.
