"Minute Of Decay" is a song by Marilyn Manson from their breakthrough 1996 album "Antichrist Superstar". One of the songs that drew my attention to bass guitar as an instrument with it's mesmerizing, sneaky, and quietly menacing bassline. The song starts with the “From a dead man… greetings” sample from the movie adaptation of Orwell’s "Nineteen Eighty-Four". Manson noted in his autobiography that he began to cry while recording the vocals for this song. No wonder considering the lyrics and excessive drug use during the recording period. A combo like that would make anyone cry.
