FUTURE ME HERE coming to say that after browsing reddit for other people's opinions on the book to see if i had in fact missed something, i am concluding that reading the rest of the Third Realm series would indeed have been helpful for me in having a better grasp of the book. So perhaps me not understanding all the lose ends in The Third Realm is entirely my fault lol Helpful insight from one reddit user on the matter: "I finished The Third Realm and began rereading The Morning Star. I'm about halfway through and yes, they speak to each other in very rewarding ways, ways that couldn't have been imagined or predicted during a first read." I followed it closely but still feel like I missed some things." yeah same.
