2025 Ivano Dibona Via Ferrata (Dolomites) — Cristallo Ridge & the Ponte Cristallo

Join me on the Ivano Dibona, one of the Dolomites’ most iconic via ferratas on Monte Cristallo above Cortina d’Ampezzo. We climb to Forcella Staunies, step onto the famous Ponte Cristallo suspension bridge, and traverse WWI tunnels, ledges and ladders across the Cristallo ridge before the big descent toward Ospitale. It’s a full alpine day with huge views and history at every turn. Route essentials (for context & SEO): • Area: Cristallo massif, Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italian Dolomites. • Start/approach: Typically via Rifugio Son Forca up to Forcella Staunies (lift beyond Son Forca is closed; expect a scree hike). • Highlights: Ponte Cristallo suspension bridge (~27–30 m), WWI tunnels/positions, panoramic ridge. • Long day out (often 8–9h, altitude & distance make it demanding even if the tech is moderate). Safety note Via ferrata requires proper kit (helmet, harness, VF lanyard) and alpine judgement; conditions, closures and access can change—check local guidance before you go.
