This test will have two series each with several phases, and will explore differences in plant health due to potting and bed soil composition as relative to varying concentrations of biochar. In this phase (phase A) of this series (series 1) there are two lines and two controls. [controls= one sample of 18 points is commercial potting mix, second sample of 18 points is "Brad's Mix" potting soil] The controls themselves form an AB comparison between our "Brad's Mix" potting soil, and commercially available potting soil. This test will also help us to see if our biochar test samples in "Brad's Mix" in their totality compare to commonly used potting soil. The test is two lines of 9 each of 5% 10% 15% and 20% concentration of biochar in "Brad's Mix" potting soil. Line one (on the left) is powdered (~0.25mm) char in the above described concentrations. Line two (on the right) is granulated (~3mm) char in the above described concentrations.
