Boys Next Door - "Return to Sender" - 1965 RARE Garage Surf/Rock! (Unknown surf/doo-wop acetate)

Not the Mid-West band. Back in the early '60's there was a surf/rock garage band from Canada called the Boys Next Door. They played local gigs here and there in hopes to someday be discovered by a label and make it 'big.' In the meantime, they listened to records by the Beach Boys, the Four Freshmen, the Hi-Lo's and the Crew-Cuts and worked on the tight vocal blend. Sadly, their career was halted by the British Invasion circa 1966. Unlike most other groups of the day, they refused to abandon their harmonies in favor of a harder, edgier sound. As a result, they're chances of 'making it' never came to fruition. This is one of the last songs they recorded before they broke up - found on an an old acetate.
