This padlock is a CEN Grade 5 certified lock and a great product or piece for your collection. It has passed all European tests and has therefore achieved its certification. My criticism in this video has nothing to do with the security of this padlock. It has to do with the quality of its finish only. This is a very secure padlock! I just bought a brand new Abus Rock 83/80 and found rust on the inside of the padlock body. The chrome finish does not seem to be on the hardened metal parts that are located on the inside of the lock body. On padlocks of other manufacturers like Anchor Las or Abloy the plating is also on the inner parts of the hardened lock body. If I am not wrong this model is made in the factory of Abus that is located in China. They should either work on their quality control or on the chrome plating process.
