Millicent Dorothy is our guest today on TALES EXTRA. She hails from Homa Bay County but was raised in Naivasha, where her father worked. She lost her husband, and because she had no son, her in-laws chased her away. After the death of her parents, she got married at a young age and lived with her husband for ten years. Millicent is a trained teacher, but she has never secured a formal job. Due to financial hardship—and needing to care for her autistic child—she resorted to selling her body to make ends meet. Her child was involved in a car accident, forcing Millicent to continue that line of work to cover the hospital bills. She frequented clubs on Fridays and Saturdays, where most of her clients were older men. Even now, Millicent continues this work to support her family. She doesn’t operate on the streets—only in clubs. One day, she met a German man through this work. They fell in love and were together for six months before he returned to his home country. In another incident, she and a client were in a room when the client’s wife showed up unexpectedly. She attempted to shoot Millicent, but the client intervened and persuaded his wife to leave. Millicent shares her journey with us today—how she has faced immense challenges. She’s tried to quit her line of work, even got married, but whenever her husband was away, she found herself returning to the clubs. As the TALES FAMILY, let’s come together to support this woman and her child. She has endured so much in her life. Welcome to today’s episode. Remember—we listen, not judge. We are here to transform lives.
