Filmed during the Ohio State of Emergency snowstorm on January 25th, 2026, this winter hike follows me and Hayden as we explore our small Ohio town on foot while most people stayed indoors. With snowshoes, backpacks, and a sled in tow, we chose curiosity, movement, and voluntary suffering over comfort. We filmed this video during the snowstorm that pushed Ohio into a declared State of Emergency on January 25th, 2026. While most people were inside staying warm, Hayden and I bundled up, strapped on our snowshoes, grabbed a sled, and went out to explore the town we live in the only way that felt right — on foot. This wasn’t about breaking news or proving anything. It was about finding joy, stillness, and connection in the middle of chaos. We wandered snowy country roads, took in the quiet beauty of the landscape, tested our snowshoes, talked life, visited friends, and leaned fully into the kind of voluntary suffering we oddly love. There’s a good amount of natural ASMR in this one — falling snow, wind, footsteps, and quiet moments that don’t need commentary. We ended the day sledding, laughing, and making memories with friends and family, exactly the way days like this should be spent.
