Volcanic Eruption In Meradalur, Grindavik, Iceland August 11th 2022 / Eldgos í Meradölum, Grindavík

It was not available to see volcano in Meradalur from 7th of August to 10th of August. It was closed because of many reasons. But it was opened at 10 a.m. on 10th of August. I went yesterday evening 11th of August. I arrived there 17:30, started walking up to the volcano at 17:39. It took about 1,5 to 2 hours to come to the volcano. In this video I show you all the way from the parking lot to the volcano. It was nice weather when I walked up. But it started raining a few minutes after I arrived to the volcano. Now is summer in Iceland but it is still cold ( about 7-13 Celsius degrees). Sometimes it is windy and raining. Half the way to walk up to the volcano is made better than it was. But it is still the mountain’s way. Besides when you walk up you would feel hot. But when you arrive up at the volcano and sit down you would be cold. And the way you walk down you would feel cold. So I recommend you check the weather and wear a buff, gloves, a jacket and hiking shoes. Thank you for watching my videos and good luck!
