This is a travelogue of our 2010 vacation in the Amalfi Coast area of Italy in seven parts, showing what we did and what travel around the Amalfi Coast is like. In part three we take a drive down the spectacular Amalfi Coast to Ravello where we explore two Garden Villas and admire the views. Taxi services offer a great value for day trips around the Amalfi Coast and are the best way to experience the area. We met another couple on the train (we tourists are easy to spot) who were also staying in Positano and arranged to share a taxi service together to Amalfi and Ravello. The cost was reasonable when shared and renting a car is not advisable on the narrow busy coastal roads. I have unfortunately lost my notebook with the name of the Taxi Service but our Driver, Gianluca (Gianluca if you read this please email!) was marvellous.
